Zing is right. Pavilion desktops generally use ATX PSUs, which yours is. What model Pavilion is it? I know some had to have specific ATX PSUs as the power socket had to be position so that it would fit the plastic of the case at the rear (socket can be at the top or bottom of the back of the PSU, although I thought the ATX standard would define it's proper position!).
