Lightbulb A6 or A5 sized colour scanner

Good afternoon,

Wonder if anyone can recommend a small A6 or A5 flatbed scanner.

We've got a system at work where passport sized photos are either scanned in or taken using a webcam.

We have a couple of these OptiCard scanners http://www.plustek.de/uk/product/card820.php
but they're just not up to handling the volume of photos being scanned, and forever need cleaning and keep stopping for no apparent reason.
We've had them replaced under guarantee a couple of times now, but we need something more reliable.

Currently there have been nearly 9000 photos scanned (not sure how many were on the webcam) but this is an on-going project and many thousands more photos will be scanned.

Can anyone recommend either a similar type scanner, or an A6 or A5 flatbed scanner, will be used to scan in passport sized photos. Has to be colour and must be TWAIN compliant.

I would prefer to go for flatbed scanners after our experience with these small "pull the paper through" scanners.

Cheers,
Mike
