Wow all this 'hoo haa' over a nicnacked PSU.

Whilst I appreciate all the varied answers, there is no need for a handbag match to break out. Get rubbing those lobes and repeat after me '.... woooo saaaaah..'

Joking aside - rather than replace the power supply on what was a rather ancient machine, I coughed up £200 and blagged a decent Packard Bell machine (minus a monitor) out of the business dept at *cough splutter swear* PC world.

You can wangle some seriously decent deals out of them at the moment, what with their parent company looking a bit wobbly at the moment.
