6 pc's 1 net conection

Right .. .

Basically atm i have 6 devices gonig to my belkin w/router, which is then hooked up to the modem then incomes the net.

The is the way i want to have them setup ..

pc's - w/router - Server - Cable modem - Internet.

I have 2 Nic's(network cards) in the server one to recieve coms from router n then the other direct to the cable modem, but my olnly problem is that i cannot see the server sharing files etc yet i can pick up the server via dameware, or vnc etc

If i disable DHCP server from the router, and give every pc a static ip address of 10.x.x.x 0r 192 etc,and then give the router a fixed ip address to talk to the server, would i then be able to see the router / shared files whilst also being able to get internet to every pc still?

cheers
