Re: Exchange and Virgin email

Further to this. I'm wanting to check my setup of SBS Exchange 2003 and make sure that it's receiving and distributing correctly. I've now evolved the following cunning plan (?)

I'm thinking to use a sacrificial domain name set up on my 1and1 account and point the Mx at my Virgin IP. I'm assuming that I'll have to use a dynamic DNS service to make this work.

What I need to know is if Virgin will permit sending from Exchange SMTP. There's no point in setting up all the POP side if I can only receive.

Does this make sense?
