See if the bios has a temp readout so on reboot you can see what the problem is...

If not you should be able to find a manufacturer or evena 3rd party system monitor tool...

Personally from experience I'd get a tin of spray duster, take off the heatsinkfan cover (some laptops don;t have a fan cover though..) and get rid of all the acumulated dust
