So I can't stick a US plug travel adaptor onto the UK plug part?

I may have a US plug / figure of 8 lead knocking around somewhere...hmm, actually, may be a US plug / "kettle" lead.

Oh well. The wife's 3rd party iPod charger should work I think. UK plug on it, but it's rated for 100-240V & 50-60Hz.
