can you map the share as a drive and ensure it is a persistent connection?
eg - open command prompt and type:
net use x: \\server\share /persistent:yes
not sure if the device is seen as a server with a share or not, being I don't have one! alternatively, right click over My Computer and select Map Drive, then browse to the share ensuring it reconnects at logon.
