Re: Getting POP3 working on Evolution mail in Ubuntu

I am using pop3.blueyonder.co.uk as the server, and have tried various combinations of
  • aa000a0000_4 (that is, the fourth mailbox of the primary mailbox aa000a0000)
  • aa000a0000_4@blueyonder.co.uk
  • fourthalias (that is, one of the aliases to the above fourth mailbox)
  • fourthalias@blueyonder.co.uk
and I keep on having the POP3 logon rejected because of incorrect user name or password.

Of course I can log onto webmail using either of the two indicated email addresses and the password.

Has anyone got this function to work? If so please could you tell me what you put into the various Properties fields (disguised, of course!)?

Thanks!
I had the same problem in Ubuntu 8.10 so I installed Thunderbird instead much easier to set up and it works.
