I still prefer PS2 mice wherever possible. A couple of my 'toolbox' CDs and the Acronis imaging CD do not reliably recognise USB mice.

I just find USB overall less reliable. The hot plugging facility is nice but there are oddities still with USB. I've several times plugged a printer back into a different USB socket from the original and Windows thinks it's a new device and wants me to install it all over again...
