it is against the T&Cs but if your going to do it i would use a password still but limit the routers admin to your computer how to do that should be in the instructions
i share my connection with my brother in law when he is at his mums ( next door ) as she doest have the net
and i can access quite a few of my neighbours ( with their permision ) as i fix many of thier problems for them with out having to leave my house if i am feeling lazy and dont want free coffee

but be aware there could be some implications if the person who you allow to share uses it for neferious puposes
personaly i like a little bit of trust in tis world but it is something you need to be aware of
