high dc voltage?

Hello, just wondering if anybody could help me.

To cut a long story short i signed up with Virgin media about 2 months ago for there 8mb adsl internet. after recieving my router and the activation date passing my internet would not work (no dsl light) etc. I spoke to virgin many times and all they could say is tech where going to look into it and NOTHING else, providing no customer service at all. So after hundreds of phone calls, millions of lies and alot of frustation i decided to ring sky today and go with them on there 16mb package. Anyway after doing this i rang virgin to ask for the mac code and cancel BUT all of a sudden they could tell me what the problem was.. The tech guy said apparently it is a high dc voltage fault? Not quite sure what this is or how it can be fixed does anyone have any ideas?

Not to sure about switching to sky now as will they find the same problem, or will it be something at virgins end? I do wonder if virgin are just fobbing my off because they dont want to lose a customer but i dont know? Need to let them know by tomorrow morning so any help would be appreciated. Just want working internet after all this time!

Thanks,

Luke.
