If you don't need wireless then there really is no point in paying for a "n" speed wireless router. A "g" speed will be more than adequate, but stick clear of any older "b" speeds as sometimes their wired ports won't support the faster broadbands speeds that are becoming available today i.e. they only have a 10 mbps port whereas you should be looking at 100.
You should however look at pricing. Wireless is more common, so oddly that can be cheaper. A good allround wired router would be the Linksys BEFSR41
