Thanks for advice, i tried this earlier after reading similar threads regarding same problem but with different equipment, still no joy, still unsure if virgin media connection is ppoe, static ip, or dynamic ip and if i need to manually change any settings in tp-link setup. Also the modem i have (motorola sb4200) is about six years old, is it possible it may not be compatible with router? Any help or advice is really appreciated and hopefully the problem is something simple that i am overlooking. P.s. since last post i have also connected router to p.c. with network cable and not relied on wireless connection, but still no luck.
