I notice on your tracert your ms response on the:

5 217 ms 9 ms 172 ms man-bb-a-as0-0.network.virginmedia.net [213.105.175.1]

is very high, I live In lincolnshire & on my tracert's that the hop(213.105.175.1) when my problems start too. (I get the same problem as you).

Its maybe nothing to do with your problem but I thought id mention it.
