Most people got the 512k service as part of one of the ntl 3 for Â£30 bundles so still pay roughly that price if they haven't changed anything.

As with any other discontinued service, Virgin are very reluctant to force people off it if it involves an increase to the service price in any way. This is mainly due to the arguments that arise.
