I didn't realise that you could actually get the 512k service still, anyway he hasn't asked to be kept on the lower rate and the nice lady said for a small fee she could upgrade him to 2 meg, which I think he will do tomorrow. I thought everyone was upgraded as they went along, and Â£14.99 for 512k is a bit rich I think, even a bit rich for 2 meg actually :p
