It's hard to say, I don't think I've lived here long enough to notice any reliable pattern. Give me another 20 years.
By the way, I've been looking at the OS for the area and trying to match up the snow line with the contours. It looks more like 700 metres than 600 - the summit of Ben Reoch (661 metres) is on the left of the photo, just above the treetops, and is snow-free.
I'm heading into Glasgow shortly. I'll take the camera with me as there is a viewpoint on my route which might yield a nice picture. Assuming the weather stays clear, of course, at the moment the rain is so heavy I can't actually see Beinn Narnain any more
