My current modem is a 255. Will this handle up to 20 meg or will they replace it. (if so they may need a reminder

My router is a belkin wireless G..(appreciate this isnt supported by Virgin) but likewise will it handle 20meg? ...I dont suppose Virgin supply routers on this deal?
