Re: Vista limited connectivity unidentified network

In my case I don't think that Vista has forgotten anything, it has totally lost the plot. If Microsoft spent as much time on software development as it does on devising yet more ways of protecting its so called intellectual rights then just maybe Vista might be deemed to be fit for purpose. As Windows becomes increasingly bloated taking up more and more hard drive capacity and demanding ever more ram in order to run a host of useless features with each new version the operating system component becomes less proficient at performing the task of running applications efficiently or properly. And certainly in the case of Vista it is the customer that is fulfilling the role of exposing the inherent lack of ability of the product to do the job that it is supposed to do. Microsoft are very fond of blaming hardware or trying to pass the buck to the computer manufacturer. Surely if you are selling an operating system then it should even be able to run a wind gramophone if necessary? There should be no ifs or buts, no exceptions, it should work straight out of the box. Anyway rant over, but I am still stuck with a computer that cannot access the internet due an operating system that does not function properly.
