Thankfully we're now moving, we were going to take BT with us but have now cancelled and arranged a Virgin Media (Sweet 16 package) which will be installed the day after we move.

I had the same problem as you, I suppose the distance to the exchange & more people being added between u & it will be the problem.
BT need to build more exchanges to illiminate this distance from the exchange problem.
