i wondered if anyone might have any idea on this one.
Basically the HD died but i recovered the contents by imaging onto a larger drive.
Thing was both now and on the old hd before it failed, it was blue screening just as the windows desktop appeared and startup items were starting to appear in the taskbar.
I've done chkdsk. It boots into safe mode fine. I've tried disabling startup items in msconfig. Not sure what it could be. I thought about graphics drivers but they would have loaded before surely? I tried creating a new profile and that also blue screened.
