Well, I'm an adult
My point about him being asleep is that he couldn't see me doing it which, as we've all seen the adverts doing the rounds, contributes to kids seeing smoking as a good thing (not that I'm saying it is particularly).
As it happens, I don't feel that I
should have waited - in reality, the distance travelled at the time meant that I could probably have got out of the car and had one, but it's not advisable on a motorway. I'm not going to disagree that, in other circumstances, I
would have waited, but that wasn't the situation at that time.
