Good morning, I am new to the forum. I have received one of these letters from Davenport Lyons just a couple of days ago. It came as a bit of a shock.
I am being accused of downloading a car driving game in August of last year, not something a 64 year old lady would be interested in at all. I am going to my local CAB for help and advice. I'm sure though that I have never downloaded this game, and am wondering why I should pay this firm Ã‚Â£565.00 and sign a disclosure to say I won't do it again when I didn't do it in the first place. I have found the letters on this forum very interesting. Of the people who have received the letters, how many have paid and why do the payments vary so much. Also why so long in contacting people, 6 months to
contact VM and then 2 months to lodge with court and then a further 6 months before sending out the letter to me. I have to say I am so worried about this, and what happens if I am told I have to pay and don't have the money to do so.
