Exact same issue (blank page on geocities)...just loops around timing out on:

osr-hsd-gw3-ge147.network.virginmedia.net (62.30.249.46)
osr-hsd-bus1-ge21.network.virginmedia.net (194.117.136.5)

(This is on a website I administrate though same for geocities as well)

Cannot connect to certain websites, just loops around those two nodes...in the end...the browser(Firefox 3) gives a time out error.

Hmmm...a good chance this is related to the email issue that has been posted on the virgin media status page...hopefully it will be resolved soon.
