I did think that at the time, although to be fair the design of the fuelling rig minimised the amount of fuel that was spilled.

Good point, however I'd have thought that under the safety car that advantage isn't so great if it leads them round for more than only a few laps - and is much less than the effect of a 'stop and go' when everyone else is at full racing speed?
I think they need to look at changing this aspect of the rules, personally
