I'm new to this bit, but from reading here and elsewhere there appear to be quite a few problems with wireless routers at the moment.
Now that we've got our old PC up & running again (it's amazing what the threat of a 9lb lump hammer will do to get a PC working!
). The wife & kids obviously want both online.
The basic question is -
As I've got both towers close together (i.e. in the same room), would it be better to have a wired router from our VM modem? My line of thinking on this, is that the network will be protected and that speeds woud not drop as much as through a wireless router?!?(please tell me if I'm way off on that one!).
From what I've read routers are much of a muchness - I'm looking at going through our local Maplin as opposed to the (something or other)World.
