Thanks for the info, I knew there would be some sort of crimped on connector. Thats why I posted the question but I'd rather pay Ã‚Â£2 for a connector that Ã‚Â£25/Ã‚Â£50 for a call-out all for 15 minutes of "technicians" time when the job is going to be easier than wiring up cat5e cable jacks.
