Re: Is anyone using Vonage?

They may do, but that doesn't help much if the emergency happens when the power is out.
If there is a power cut, my home phones wont work anyway lets face it, many people are using DECT walk about phones, most go dead on a power cut.

Lets face it, 999 is no big deal, with many phones at neighbors anyway, plus lots of mobile phones.

Ive had 3 power cuts in 30 years ! never once used 999 anyway....

I'm looking to do the same thing with my BT landline. I would be interested to hear how the transfer of your number goes.
They said it could take 20 days with VM !! at the time I submitted the request, it said it could take 3 days.. (Knowing VM it will take 3 weeks)
