slacks (aka slackware, that slax is build from, livecd scripts etc) is hardly hardcore though LOL,
for real hardcore theres only one real option and thats Gentoo

it seems to run ok on the ppc soc based Efika fine and play HD (old DivX aka mpeg4-part2) content
