Motorola 3100
From October 2000 Customers could also use the Motorola 3100. It is Docsis only (so will not work reliably if at all, on the parts of the network that use Eurodocsis). The 3100 models was Ethernet only, and Motorola soon introduced a model with USB as well, the 4100 (see below).

The Motorola 3100 does not support 10 or 20Mbps Tiers of Service

Tech Support is open 24/7 on the numbers below.

For help with your TV or Phone and for Broadband Technical Support:

Call Product Support/Faults on 151 option 3 from your Virgin Media Phone. It's absolutely free.

Or call 0845 454 1111 from any other phone line.
Thanks for your concern. I am very aware that it won't support the higher speeds and was originally signed up for VIP but due to a mix up was put on XL + and was still promised a new modem. When it didn't turn up after the second time of ringing I just thought screw it and took them up on the offer of sorting everything out and on some weird hybrid package. If anyone else out there is in the same position and has an ancient modem dating back to (Jan 2001 in my case) try and get a new modem. I've been waiting for the upgrade before ringing up, you've persuaded me to get off my arse and do something about it sooner .
