I stayed up til 3:10am to watch the women marathon Paula Radcliffe was in pain for a long way you could see here limping.

Liz Yelling finished 26th despite falling heavily 10 miles into the race and was taken to hospital for a check-up with a suspected cracked rib.

Mara Yamauchi finished in sixth place equalling the best for a British woman.
