My machine (suffers often):
Windows 2000
Dual Athlon MP 2600+ (Barton)
2GB CL2 SDRAM
Quad SCSI U320 15Krpm disks, striped and mirrored on a hardware RAID controller
Hardware 100Mbps LAN connection

Other machine (rarely suffers):
Windows 98SE
VIA C3 600MHz
512MB DRAM
Single 5400rpm IDE disk
Wireless 54Mbps (sometimes) LAN connection
