IP Camera problem on Netgear WNR854T

I have just upgraded routers from a Virgin supplied Netgear WGR614-6VGUKS to a standard Netgear WNR854T ( draft N ) and can't work out why my DLink DCS-2120 camera is not accessible across the internet via my Dyndns service. The camera is connecting to the network locally and I am sure I've got the Dyndns service username and password entered correctly in the new router - in fact it must be since I can access the Dyndns utility which seems to track my IP address perfectly.
I am sure it's something to do with the port forwarding / port triggering configuration. The router that works has no port forwarding set at all - which I find strange since I was convinced some sort of configuration was needed to allow incoming traffic to the ports used by the camera ?? - this was certainly the case when I had it hooked up to another router some time ago on an adsl service I used with Pipex. The other thing is that this Virgin supplied router has port triggering switched on and shows two services called paltalk_1 and paltalk_2 on port 2090 and 2091 - don't know what these are for. Perhaps this is how things work fine on this router and not the other.
However before spending any more time I wondered whether anyone could explain what's going on here, what these settings are supposed to be for and what I should be doing to make sure I am not compromising the security of my network.
Thanks
