It aint they general don't bother more the fact a lot of older hardware was not designed to work in 64 bit artichure esicpally older hardware that was first written for 8 and 16 bit machines. i believe the usb part of the modem was designed for 16 bit machines and got a 32 bit driver eventally but 64 bit it jsut wouldnt do.

But i aint saying you aint right baout 32bit stuff but they general cant for odler hardware.
