Tnx, you say you cousin can pick up the wireless signal on your router, and connect surf the net etc. I'd say it's something on your PC blocking DHCP requests/resposes. Do you have any firewalls set up on your PC, it's worth switching them off and trying again, maybe even worth booting to "safe mode with networking" just to make sure no element of your firewall is loaded.

sorry i misread it, the way i understood it he could not connect through his wireless router, i took that as wireless not wired my fault
