Re: DPI, Phorm, Webwise subthread for all things OT BR

hmm , no one interested enough in the OT BT phorm thread content so far to comment?, nice to know your all so focused on the main event, and putting all your effort into that.....

anyway...., i thought id try and find some simple server side video content systems for use for the protest and beyond that anyone can install and use on their home or ofice PCs.

heres one thats got a demo install for you to play with.

it (Plumi) is very clunky and would need some serious tweaking to make it far more automatic, but the basics seem to work in a 3 step/page click and fill, and i uploaded Petes
"conniving Kent Collecting Content"

check this link out

http://demo.plumi.org/Members/pip99/...archterm=depho

remember thats just a demo, so not for our general use, only testing, but take a look and see if that fills and fits a need to encurage far more protest video's you can then run directly off your Broadband connection for the lead up to the protest and beyond....

or even better , if you can get permission to run a video server on the company webside servers to get far better thoughput and smother playback perhaps.... OC if you already have your own Co-Location server its not a problem to install your video server/Nas web frontend of choice (providing one fits the need exactly, non so far as far as i can find...)to make it easy to upload any format of video you care to make and stream etc.

i assume it can work with most of the windows ported self contained zips, so linux isnt a 100% need.
