I just thank god David Pleat is on ITV because if those two were put together i would have to avoid every match they commentate on together, Mark Lawernson, although himself not that great, makes it slightly more bareable listening to Motson.

Give me a maverick football commentator any day of the week, it adds to the entertainment value, in my opinion. Motson has had me in stitches some times. Much better than the high pitch squeals of the newly appointed Jacqui Oatley, and the less said about Johnathan Pearce, the better.
