The 360 & DLC DRM - FIXED!

Ever changed consoles (e.g. had a refurb due to the RROD, or simply bought a new one), only to then find that all the Xbox Live Marketplace content you've bought (XBL Arcade games, game add-ons, whatever) can only be played when you're signed into XBL?

[YES!!!!!!!!!!!]

Well, MS have finally sorted it out

You can now use the "Content Licence Transfer Tool" (aka The DRM Tool) to transfer the licence for things bought with an older 360 onto your current 360.

2 stages: stage 1 involves a quick visit to Xbox.com. Stage 2 involves re-downloading the various bits of content in question onto the current 360, so it can acquire the new licence. Don't worry though - if it's already on your HDD it doesn't actually re-download the whole thing, just the licence (my rather large downloads for e.g. map packs & the Mass Effect DLC went from 1% to 100% in a matter of moments).
