What's wrong with assuming your club will continue to be successful? Isn't that what most supporters want from their teams? Well, not London clubs anyway....
I'm not assuming United will win more than Real so where you had that idea from I have no idea. You mentioned about Rooney going to Everton has similarities with Ronaldo and Real and I pointed out Rooney guaranteed himself the success that Everton could not offer.
Ronaldo would not guarantee any more success with Real other than possibly World Player of the Year.
You then mentioned Real's succesful history in europe - no-one can dispute that but how will Ronaldo benefit from Real's past when they've won very little in the last 5 or so years?
