Seems to be crystal clear to me what he said, even though he can't leave him to 'rot' in the reserves
United's threat to let Ronaldo 'rot' in the stands can't happen as Fifa rules state players can rip up their contracts if they don't play a certain amount of games. (Various)

i saw it as he genuinely thought that he would want to stay at the club. Ferguson's been on holiday the past few weeks and the last interview he did was with Frost which was on ss1 and thats all he said, i don't know where this 'leave him in the reserves' stuff has come from (the sun???). If he starts demanding a move i'm sure Ferguson will see he thinks he's bigger than the club and will get rid of him.

What he can't pick up a phone whilst he is on holiday now, even the BBC is reporting those are his words and I doubt any other media source would want to miss quote him, what with his liking to refuse interviews
