I seem to have remedied the problem from the network connections. Removed the tick from Authenticate as computer when computer information is available.

Scientific Atlanta 2100
Software Version v2.0.2r1256-060303
Receive Power Level 13.0 dBmV
Transmit Power Level 41.0 dBmV
Cable Modem Status Operational

Just seems to be the problem with the ident server which must have to do with something but not sure as to what yet.

Nikesh. I had updated my drivers a few weeks ago

So any ideas as to what could be causing the ident problem on Irc ?
