Right, a final update here:

I found out it aint the actual screen resolution thats the problem, but the colour quality, if its on 32bit(my normal choice) then it doesnt work, but when changed to 16bit colour, it works all fine.

So what I did was make a PC program up that changes the colour quality to 16bit, automatically loads RDC, automatically connects me to the target pc without me having to do anything, and when RDC exits, the program then changes the colour quality back to 32bit, strange but it works perfectly!

Wish I knew that first as my current graphics card is being reported as being 133 degrees F, thats without any graphics intensive stuff running, that is the temperature it has just said, and I have been browsing this forum for the last hour, and when gaming, it goes upto 150degrees F, dunno why this 1 dont have a fan but the 256MB model does :S
