Re: Teacher sacked for removing shirt in class

The guy was interviewed and the subject of a phone in on Radio 5 last night. He seemed very sincere and admitted that with hindsight he shouldn't have done it. I was surprised by the relatively small number of people who thought the disciplinary action was fair. A number of experienced teachers rang in and IIRC only one felt the matter had been handled properly. Although the guy is a supply teacher and has only lost this contract as it were, I can't help thinking that job offers won't be flooding in after this, which is probably a pity for all concerned.
