Reminds me of this guy I spoke to on the phone at work a few weeks back. I had trouble understanding him from his accent but his english was pretty good. I asked him where he was from and he said "Russia". I realised something wasn't quite right when I proceded to tell him his English was very very good - his attitude turned quite negative from there.

After the call I mentioned this to a colleague who knew the guy I was talking to - he wasn't from Russia at all - he was from RossShire and just had a very thick Scottish accent.

Ah we can look back and laugh now.

Anyway, I don't see this being all that different from British papers being on sale abroad. They're just catering to a new market, that's business. However I do wonder how they're going to word their next "Blame it on Poles/Immigrants" story.
