Sorry but your details are held by ANY search provider but usually only for a set amount of time (as deemed by their T & Cs).

How is keeping your details invasion of privacy/spyware? If you read the T&Cs they'll tell you that by using the service you agree to them keeping certain aspects of your data, usually just your search terms for statistical purposes though.

Also with the way the Law is looking to go all site providers will have to keep some details.
