There's apparently been engineering work on your UBR this weekend with, if I understand it right, a resegmenting which ought to improve the congestion.
Try rebooting your modem and if the connection is no better, turn it off and try again tomorrow.

I turn it off every night, so if anything ever does happen and they don't let me know, I'll soon see it. For example, right now I'm running at full blast, and it's excellent, just like it should be. How long it will last I don't know.
I used to get about 45 min's of top speed every night, but by the time all the kids get home from school, and a few thousand computers are turned on, mine goes down the pan. I have noticed a massive improvement in that respect. For example It last a lot longer before it slows right down to less than 56k.

I can't agree more. Virgin on the whole including mobile phones and TV have been very good. It's just the broadband that's taking month after month with every promise under the sun passing by.
