Strange logic.
To clarify a little (well maybe) I personally have what I consider a below average deal with VM for 4Mb and, hopefully, I'll have an above average deal when I get 10Mb - I'll still be paying them even if it is the same price, so where is the free bit? If VM instead of raising the speed they had dropped the price for 4Mb where would the free bit be in that deal? VM really don't have any choice in upgrading - it's the nature of their business.
Just a thought, if the price had increased in line with access speed then for 10 Mb I'd be paying nearly 700 times the price I paid when I first access the net
It's a good job the network speed/price system doesn't work that way rather more exponentially (Moore's Law, Butter's Law).
