And to a degree I will concur with that - however surely anyone can see that comparing where the money came from with United and Chelsea is unfair?

You simply said lets forget Veron, which doesnt really address what I said. Utd were smashing transfer records long before Roman came along, and not using a kitty based on the success of the busby babes but with an overdraft. Someone is paying for that, and that would be the fan through higher ticket prices.
To reply to your earlier posts I would say all chelsea fans would acknowledge that Romans money has been influential in getting them where they are now. But there are also other factors which no one else seems to care about. It is not just down to Romans billions.
Similarly what Utd spend and achieve now is not solely down to their home grown talent or their succesful history, but down to the money that is being thrown at football, either from a n owner, a bank or a broadcasting company.
