Your point rather escapes me there, but if you want to take it up with Jamie Kenny, feel free, it's his blog and there's a perfectly serviceable comments section.

And your point about the dates escapes me. I've never even heard of "Jaimie Kenny" and his blog doesn't interest me. What interests me is your comments on this forum and your apparent endorsement of his unsubstantiated comments. Why don't YOU ask him to support your point with the link? He's only got to
"dig it out again". It's pretty lazy to make such a nasty little accusation without the evidence to back it up.

The fundamental point as to whether it's better to deal with horrific familial abuse in a 1950s local way (allowing it to continue as long as it doesn't affect the fabric of society) or in the 2000s way (plastering it all over the papers and sending in the police and social services) is an interesting one. Austria is a much more straight-laced, patriarchal society than the UK, which is probably why this awful thing could continue there for decad

Are you sure his story is not an urban myth? If it is true, then of course the lack of action on the part of the police was absolutely shameful. And I can't find any trace of UKIP thinking that approach is acceptable which is why I asked you to provide the link. I don't think the Fritzl case has anything much to do with Austrian society. It was one sick individual.
